About the Workshop
This 3 day workshop is designed to provide professionals with guided practice in implementing the teaching methods described in introductory Verbal Behavior workshops. This workshop will included lecture, video demonstrations as well as small group role play of teaching procedures. This is an intensive workshop designed for those professionals seeking advanced training in Verbal Behavior. There will be sufficient time for individual attention and feedback regarding teaching methods.
Topics include:
· Establish instructional control with an unwilling learner
· How to develop an intensive teaching program using the ABLLS – R (Assessment of Basic Language & Learning Skills, Dr. Partington)
· How to increase the complexity of a learner’s program as they acquire skills
· Video examples and guided instruction to teach pre-requisite objectives necessary to achieve conversation
· Intermediate & advanced manding for information
· Teaching socially related mands for information
· Teaching the intermediate to advanced learner to follow multiple step receptive instructions
· Teaching the advanced learner to tell stories
· Teaching in the NET for the advanced learner
· Organizing your program materials and data recording methods, including hands-on practice for data recording

Prerequisites: It is strongly recommended that all participants have attended a Verbal Behavior Introductory Workshop and have at least some experience teaching children with autism within an intensive teaching program. Special requests to attend this workshop without prior introductory workshop attendance must be submitted and approved prior to registration.
Required Materials: Participants should bring an ABLLS or ABLLS-R manual, along with a grid representing a current student’s assessment within the past 3 months.
About the Presenters:
Holly Kibbe – MS, BCBA
Kibbe co-founded Establishing Operations, Inc. in 2003. As Managing Partner, she has created and co-presents a series of workshops designed to train professionals in how to teach Verbal Behavior as well as providing supervision for the associated of EO Inc. Mrs Kibbe is a board certified behavior analyst and holds a Masters of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. She has been working with children with autism and other developmental and behavioral disorders for ten years. She has experience working as a behavior analyst for both children with autism and typically developing children with severe behavioral disorders and as a pre-school teacher for children with autism. Mrs. Kibbe began studying and working privately applying the principals of behavior analysis to teach Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior in 1998. Mrs. Kibbe is based out of Atlants, GA and currently provides in-home and center based consultation services for children with language delays, as well as a series of training workshops for professionals and parents all over the US, Canada, Bermuda, Ireland, England, Wales and Italy.
Cherish Twigg – MS, BCBA
Mrs. Twigg co-founded Establishing Operations, Inc. As Managing Partner, she has created and co-presented a series of workshops on verbal behavior for four years and supervises the consultation services of the associates of EO Inc. Mrs. Twigg holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL and is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). She currently has ten years of experience working with children with autism and behavior disorders. She has experience as a teacher, behavior specialist and in-home therapist for children with autism. Mrs. Twigg began her consulting career in 1999. Since this time she has consulted to dozens of families with children with autism across the US, Canada as well as in the UK. Mrs. Twigg is currently based in Jacksonville, FL and is providing in-home and center based consultation services and training workshops for children and professionals throughout the US as well as in Canada, England, Ireland, Bermuda, Wales and Italy.
